Understanding the Audit Process
NDIS certification audits assess your organisation against the relevant NDIS Practice Standards. Auditors will review documentation, observe practices, and interview staff and participants. The process is designed to verify that your organisation is genuinely meeting its obligations.
Pre-Audit Preparation Checklist
Key preparation steps include reviewing all policies and procedures for currency and completeness, ensuring all staff training records are up to date, verifying all worker screening checks are current, reviewing incident and complaints registers, and checking that governance documentation is complete and accessible.
During the Audit
Be transparent and cooperative. Auditors appreciate honesty about areas where you are working to improve. Have key documents organised and accessible, and ensure relevant staff are available for interviews.
